Volunteer Spotlight

Peoples Security Bank & Trust is more than a financial institution in the communities we serve; we are a part of them as well. These volunteer spotlights exhibit outstanding employees whose time and commitment demonstrate our core values.

Nick Gianuzzi

Nick Gianuzzi

Vice President
Regional Branch Administration Manager

Meet Nick Gianuzzi. Nick is a Regional Branch Administration Manager for the Lackawanna, Luzerne & Monroe branches, who has been with the bank for 21 years. Nick has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Scranton for over 25 years. Please continue to read as Nick describes his work with the Kiwanis Scholarship Committee.

“I have been a proud member of the Kiwanis Club of Scranton for over 25 years. As an active Kiwanian, I have the opportunity to sit on the Kiwanis Scholarship Committee. Through the auspices of the Scranton Kiwanis Foundation, two scholarships are awarded each year to graduating high school seniors in Lackawanna County. Scholarships are awarded based on Financial Needs, Academic Score, Community Service and an Essay. Obviously, financial need and quite often the students’ personal circumstances are major considerations for our recipients. Some of the things we see, in terms of social and financial situations would break one’s heart. Our hope is that we can provide assistance to help make college costs a little less daunting.

What is unique about this scholarship is that it is paid to the students each semester and matched by the student’s college (University of Scranton, Marywood University and Keystone College currently participate). It is truly a win-win for the students and puts our dollars to work locally investing in students that choose to stay in the area for their education and hopefully beyond! As my family struggled to put me through college, I feel this is a way I can repay my family’s sacrifice in some small way.”

We are extremely thankful to have employees who go above and beyond for their communities and are honored to work with some of the most selfless people out there.
