Financial Hardships

Facing personal hardships due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis? Look to us for financial relief. Peoples Security Bank & Trust remains committed in our promise to ensure that your financial needs are met in this most critical time of need. 

  • Consumer & Home Loan Relief Program - For those who are directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, you can defer your monthly loan payments for up to 90 days. Click here for more information.
  • Early CD Withdrawal - To assist customers with financial hardships during the pandemic, we will allow customers to withdraw up to $5,000 from their CD prior to maturity, without penalty. For details, please contact your local branch.

Branch Availability

In an attempt to help mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to safeguard the health of our customers, employees, and communities, we are limiting access and reducing hours for our branches until further notice. Access is being limited to drive-up window service for those locations with drive-up capabilities.

  • Our ATMs, online banking and mobile banking services are available 24/7. Our digital services provide 24/7 account access and the ability to transfer funds, check account balances and activity, pay bills and more from the comfort of your home.

What We're Doing

COVID-19 has significantly impacted the way we live our lives. Our customers and employees can be assured that Peoples Security Bank is prepared and ready to continue operating during this pandemic and assisting our customers work through this unprecedented time in our country’s history.

We have a contingency plan developed for events such as this current pandemic, and we’ve been practicing the details of our plan annually since 2014. To do our part in helping prevent the spread of COVID-19, we have taken the following actions:

  • Employees are encouraged to stay home if they are sick, and we have made accommodations for employees who are at a higher risk according to the Centers for Disease Control’s guidelines. Additionally, we have educated all employees on the CDC’s best practices for preventing the spread of COVID-19.
  • We’ve enhanced our cleaning protocols in all offices. All branches have been supplied with hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes to further disinfect their area as necessary. 
  • We’ve reduced the numbers of employees and visitors in all offices to encourage social distancing. Many of our employees are now working remotely through the use of technology, and we’ve reduced our hours of operation and restricted access to our branch lobbies. All routine banking transactions are now done via drive-thru only, and our lobbies are available by appointment only.
  • We have key team members monitoring the situation daily so that we can modify our protocol and notify our employees and customers as soon as possible once any updates become available. 
  • Customers, vendors and employees are now required to wear a face mask at all times while on bank premises. We are following the recommendations of the CDC and enforcing this as part of our commitment to the safety of our customers and employees.

We are proactively doing everything we can to minimize disruptions to our daily operations and ensure the safety of our customers and employees as we continue providing financial services and access to newly formed governmental resources.

A Message from our President

Over the last month, most of us have spent all of our waking hours thinking about the Coronavirus epidemic and what it means for us and our families. In just the last week, our country, as we know it, has changed dramatically. Schools have been closed, sports and entertainment venues have been postponed or canceled, travel has been limited, many businesses have temporarily closed, and large gatherings are no longer permitted - all this to stem the spread of the Coronavirus in an effort to not overwhelm our healthcare systems. People who live in our communities have all faced hardships in one way or another and together we will work through this difficult time. But we must all do our part for the safety of our employees, their families, and our customers. We are taking the necessary precautions to safeguard our branch offices while continuing our daily operations.

We are proactively doing everything we can to minimize disruptions to our banking operations. We will continue to evaluate our operations as they relate to this situation and provide our customers with updates as they become available.
